Flood relief continues in Kazakhstan. Employees of KazTransGas Aimak JSC take measures to prevent emergencies at gas facilities, as well as provide assistance to victims.
Today, one of the regions where the most difficult flood situation remains is the Atyrau region.
Employees of the Atyrau production branch of KazTransGas Aimak JSC are involved in emergency rescue and flood control operations. The employees of the branch carried out work in advance on the collapse and installation of the necessary structures around the gas equipment, which made it possible to ensure stable gas supply even in an emergency situation.
Due to the risk of a second wave of flooding in the Atyrau region due to the flow of water along the Ural River (Zhaiyk) Bauyrzhan Askarov, General Director of KazTransGas Aimak JSC, made a working visit to check flood control measures around the gas facilities of the region.
There was a trip to the village of Akzhar, as well as to the Makhambet district. The General Director was familiarized with the gas supply schemes for probable flooding zones, informed about the flood control measures and protection of gas pipelines and took part in flood control works.
Bauyrzhan Askarov also held a meeting with the employees of the branch, where he stressed the importance and necessity of completing the emergency dispatch service, taking into account the newly arisen conditions.
In general, assistance is provided not only within the Atyrau region. Thus, the Mangystau Production branch (MPF) did not stand aside and was one of the first to help residents of the neighboring Atyrau region, namely the city of Kulsary, who found themselves in a difficult situation due to floods. As an initiator, a team of IPF volunteers announced a fundraiser for the purchase of humanitarian aid for flood victims. So, in the city of 4 trucks were sent to Kulsary, where, with the funds raised by volunteers, bedding sets for 200 people (mattress, pillow, blanket, bed linen), food, medicines and other necessary means of life were purchased. Residents of Atyrau region evacuated to Aktau and Beineu village were also provided with humanitarian aid.
The Zhambyl production branch sent a significant amount of sacks (115,500 pieces) to the Atyrau region to support the strengthening of dams and flood control.
In addition, the production branches of KazTransGas Aimak JSC are sending equipment for flood control work to the affected areas.
