KazTransGas Aimak JSC held a meeting chaired by the General Director of the Company Bauyrzhan Askarov to hear reports from the directors of production branches on the results of industrial safety and environmental protection activities for the 1st quarter of 2024. The CEO noted that the protection of labor and life of employees is the main priority of our Company. People and their safety must always come first.
Each production branch presented a detailed report on the work done over the previous period, as well as highlighted key points related to occupational safety and the lives of employees. Both successful practices were reviewed and areas requiring additional attention and efforts were identified.
Special attention was paid to planning for 2024. Each branch presented its strategic goals and specific steps aimed at ensuring occupational safety. Quarterly inspections are carried out to assess the state of occupational safety, fire and industrial safety.
In the 1st quarter of 2024, Shymkent PF received a Certificate of Trust for Labor Protection from the State Labor Inspectorate, exempting labor inspections from inspections for a period of three years.
The Company’s employees undergo mandatory training in occupational safety, industrial safety, PTM and first aid (paramedics).
It is important to note that since 2023, the Company has joined the Vision Zero “zero injury” Concept, within the framework of which work has begun on the formation of a Safety Culture. A behavioral audit of employee safety is conducted in which each employee can independently assess the risks and take actions to eliminate them.
Also, accident prevention tools are informing about potentially dangerous incidents without the consequences of “Near-Miss” and “Stop Work Authority”, when any employee can suspend work in case of a dangerous situation.
In addition to fulfilling the mandatory requirements of Labor Legislation on labor protection and the environment, an Action Plan for Industrial Safety for 2024 has been approved, which provides for the personal participation of PF directors in the work of Safety and Labor Protection Committees, holding meetings and inspections on labor protection.
