Gasification has a positive impact on the ecological situation of cities, creates prospects for further economic development of the region.
In November of this year, in Astana, CHPP-1, CHPP-2 and CHPP-3, as well as a new boiler house South-East, were connected to natural gas by KazTransGas Aimak JSC, a subsidiary of NC QazaqGaz JSC, as well as a new boiler house South-East, which made it possible to eliminate a shortage of heat supply and significantly improve the ecology of the capital.
The Akimat of Astana, together with KazTransGas Aimak JSC, has done a lot of work to launch CHP-3, which has become a kind of long-term construction and is designed to provide 545 Gcal/hour of heat to part of the left bank and new built-up areas of the capital.
The new gas boiler house “Yugo-Vostok” with a capacity of 350 Gcal/hour is located in the Yesil district of Astana, built by the Akimat of the capital to supply heat to the area of the new railway station “Mynzhyldyk”.
Also, in the first decade of December, the Akimat plans to launch the 1st stage of the Turan gas thermal power plant with a capacity of 600 Gcal/hour.
In addition, this year, the Akimat, together with KazTransGas Aimak JSC, successfully supplied gas to the high-pressure ring gas pipeline on the left bank, which will ensure the reliability and stability of gas supply to consumers.
As a result of the commissioning of these infrastructure projects, the volume of gas supplies to the capital will increase from approximately 200 million m3/year to 1 billion m3/year.
The priority for KazTransGas Aimak JSC is the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the population, socially significant facilities and public utilities.
