Undoubtedly, natural gas is one of the main attributes of civilization and comfort, signs of improving living conditions and well-being of the population. KazTransGas Aimak JSC (the Company) sees its mission not only in the uninterrupted supply of gas to the population, but also in its education in safety issues. The company actively develops and implements a wide range of measures aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring consumer safety.
So, since the beginning of September, videos with rotation (3-8 times a day) have been posted on local TV channels in the regions of the Company’s presence. These videos allow citizens to familiarize themselves with the rules for the safe use of gas. It is planned to broadcast more than 5,000 broadcasts on local TV channels and more than 15,000 rotations in social facilities such as hospitals, buses, shopping malls and PSC.
Also, a running line is posted on local TV channels, which regularly reminds about measures to prevent accidents when using gas in everyday life. This is an additional means of informing, which increases the awareness of the population.
In addition, in order to raise awareness of the population, gatherings are held at which safety measures during the heating period are discussed. Citizens receive memos containing recommendations on the proper operation of heating stoves and heating appliances, as well as fire safety measures. By the end of 2023, it is planned to distribute more than 50,000 memos throughout Kazakhstan.
It is important to note that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan supported the initiative of KazTransGas Aimak JSC to send text messages to 112. Thus, since September 13 of this year, a weekly SMS notification to citizens’ mobile phones has been launched in all regions from the unified dispatch service “112”.
Since the beginning of September, the Company’s employees have been actively conducting lectures on the safe use of gas in everyday life both in educational institutions and at municipal enterprises. These activities are aimed at teaching children and adults how to properly handle gas and realize the importance of following safety rules. Lectures cover a wide range of topics, ranging from the basics of safe operation of gas appliances in the house to the principles of preventing leaks and gas-related fires. Experts share their knowledge and experience with the participants, teaching them the right practices and responsible attitude to the use of gas.
Together with the emergency services of the regions, raids are carried out on a planned basis to comply with the rules for the safe use of gas in everyday life. These activities contribute to the control and supervision of compliance with safety standards.
At the same time, employees of production branches are trained in first aid skills. This is an additional security provision, as trained employees can quickly respond to possible emergencies.
The company actively attracts young people and active users of social networks to the topic of safe use of natural gas in everyday life through the Instagram and Facebook platforms. They regularly publish informative posts and videos that educate the public about safety rules. Promotion in social networks helps to convey important messages to a wide audience and ensures that consumers are informed about gas safety issues.
In addition, meetings are held with contractors performing maintenance of gas equipment (TO VDGO) in order to discuss issues of preventing accidents when using gas by consumers. Joint efforts contribute to improving the safety of gas systems.
In addition, since September 28, briefings with the participation of representatives of the Company regarding the safe use of gas in everyday life have been held in all regional communications services.
KazTransGas Aimak JSC assumes an important mission of ensuring gas safety in the everyday life of citizens. These events demonstrate the seriousness of the approach to this problem. Gas workers urge all citizens to be vigilant and observe safety rules in order to spend the heating period of 2023-2024 safely and comfortably.
